There are many types of balance training: Static training involves a person staying stationary and having to maintain their center of gravity within a smaller limit: for example standing on a BOSU ball, Dynamic training involves a balance challenge while there is locomotion: Example: obstacle course. Pertubation training is where there is locomotion and you introduce a sudden shift that requires a reaction to maintain balance Eaxample: Walking on a treadmill and there is a sudden speed change.
