The results of our groundbreaking research on women and retirement show half of all American women age 25 and older are financially struggling today. That makes it very hard to save for a secure retirement.
What Women SayTM: Insights and Policy Solutions for Lifelong Financial Security is the combined effort of the National Council on Aging, Women’s Institute for a Secure Retirement, Public Opinion Strategies, and Lake Research Partners.
“Our goal with this survey was to hear from women themselves about their concerns and worries – and to understand what policy solutions they think would help,” said NCOA President and CEO Ramsey Alwin. “While the results are sobering, the offer a clear and bipartisan call to action.”
