In a recent study, Professors Elena Semino, Stephen Flusberg and Alison Mackey tested the reception and effectiveness of ten metaphors for different aspects of vaccinations. The raincoat metaphor is an animated version of one of the five metaphors that worked best. It explains why it is worth taking a vaccine even if it isn’t 100% effective.
